CD ROM, Inc. Announces Availability of the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska Data set on CD-ROM with Software Program to read Industry Standard SEG-Y format Data
April 1, 1996 (Golden, Colorado)– CD ROM, Inc. announced today for the first time ever a complete data set on CD-ROM of the DEMUX data on the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska. The data set, which comes on 15 CD-ROM discs, includes an interactive program written in C and designed to display digital seismic data, stored in industry-standard SEG-Y format, using a 80286 or greater personal computer.
This software program is a public domain program and can be used to display other standard SEG-Y data on CD-ROM recordable discs for proprietary datasets owned and managed by petroleum companies.
